This little girl's mother is a computer specialist from Helsinki , Finland . While her daughter is soundly asleep, she creates a completely different world ... from whatever she can find around her! That's how both of them became really famous. What a truly fabulous imagination!

Basketball vs. Football

Today, I slept in for a little while and then I had to get ready to go to the Illinois basketball game. Andy surprised me with tickets a few weeks ago. Such a great husband! Anyways though , we went out to lunch and then headed to the game. The place was packed with fans that's for sure. There was a fair share of Illinois fans too. I was pretty surprised. The game started and this guys sat down next me and he had one of those radios in his ear. He was commenting on everything that was going on and cursing. Really dude, do you think they can hear you? Sometimes I wanted to laugh at the guy because of what he was saying but I held it in. In the end, Illinois lost! It was pretty sad. They left a lot of points out on the court today and there were a lot of bad calls and no calls made. Maybe next time.

Now were home and watching the football... Whose going to win? We truly are a sports household!

GRANDPA

Today is my Grandpa's Birthday. I have been thinking about him for several days now. It was this time last year that I was visiting him in the ICU. That was the last time I saw him before he passed away. I was very strong today at work and made myself not think to much about it. I had a few tears through out the day but that's to be expected. Grandpa was like a father to me. He walked me down for my wedding and was always there to listen and much more! I miss you grandpa and grandma!

Haircut

Well I chopped my hair and put some layers into it. I was debating whether to put high lights in or not. The lady said it would be ok because I could always go back to my natural color if I didn't like it. I'm still scared to do it though. I have never colored my hair before. My hair is virgin !! Tonight , I'm hanging out at home laying on the couch. I didn't feel all that great this morning. Lets just say we had a good time out with friends last night. Since I stayed in tonight, I watched a new movie on tv that had Brook White in it. She was on American Idol in 2008. It was really a great movie and it talked about how things can change in a matter of minutes. Your whole life is was on a certain path and then you change paths.

You can plan so many things in life and then some things you can't plan at all. For example, find a house, make sure our jobs our secure, plan to have a family.How much do you plan out in your life?

Tonight , I would normally be bowling with the ladies. However not so much tonight. Because I was a klutz and fell down the stairs as my husband says, I managed to sprain my Achilles tendon. NOT COOL! Tonight, I tried to bowl a couple of balls and it just wasn't working. I put my shoes back on and that was the end of that. Who knows when I will be able to bowl again.. Oh well...

Today at work someone asked me ," Do you ever get upset and show it?" I told him if I do I normally don't show it or I bottle it up. I'm just the type of person who doesn't get mad a lot. It take a lot for me to get upset. What do you do when you get upset?

Calendar

So every year I get a new calendar and have to transfer all the birthday's from one to the other. As I started to write all the birthday's on the new one, I turned to January. The first name on it was my Grandpa, Fay. He passed away last year and it was one of the hardest things I have had to deal with. Out of any deaths in my 28 years of living, I believe that my Grandpa's was the hardest. I mean I still think about all who have passed in my lifetime but I"m constantly reminded every day or something is triggered to think about my Grandpa and Grandma. They were both very special people in my life and I will never forget that. How do you move on from one's death. You really can't. Especially when it's someone as important as they were to me. Thinking of you Grandpa and Grandma!

Random Thoughts

I'm ready for my ankle/ foot to be better. I'm ready to wear my high heals back to work but I don't think I will be doing that anytime soon. It stinks falling down a set of stairs and spraining your Achilles tendon pretty bad.

Yesterday, was the Rose Bowl. Wisconsin was in it but they didn't win. They did try their hardest though but TCU beat them. A lot of fans were disappointed that's for sure. I wonder what happens to all the pre-made stuff ?

Tonight , is the start of a reality tv show called " Worst cooks in America ". I love watching this show. Some people really just can't cook. I would like to do on that show and learn how to be a better cook. I'm stepping out of my comfort zone a little more these days but still..

Anyways though , better get ready for the rest of the day.

It's a New Year

Happy New Year to all the people out there! I think this year will bring great things. At least I hope it does. Anyone have any good goals out there this year? I haven't really thought to much about it yet . However I have done some cleaning and giving things I don't need anymore to others. Makes you feel good. I still have some other stuff to do but I'm working on it. Anyways though I'm going to really try to stay up to date on my blog this year. I know I keep saying that but I'm really going to try.

My mom was lucky enough to go over to my brothers and take a picture with all of the grandchildren. I was very jealous that I didn't get to go. In this picture is Todd my brother, my mom, and Sarah, Sophia, Willow and Selah. These are all my nieces. Where are the nephews? No one had any boys in the family. Maybe when Andy and I have kids we will have a little boy? But then again I really would like a little girl too. I already have her name picked out . Not that I'm ready for kids yet. Andy and I still like to get out and travel. Plus I'm pretty sure he doesn't want any kids for awhile either.

The Dube's

Over the Father's Day weekend we took a drive over to The Dube's house. They live about 2 hours or so away from us. Brandice and Kenny were in town so we all got to hang out and have some fun. We grilled out, the guys went and play golf, we had good food that Clarence made. It was a really fun weekend and Andy and I enjoyed getting away from Madison for a little while.

Work and more work!

Work has been up and down. Business is good though. We actually made a profit this last month which is a good thing. That means we could see the pay freeze lifted and we may get our raises. But we will see. These last few weeks have been a little crazy. We recently promoted one of our girls in our department to another department. That meant we had to hire someone new and I would be training them. I was also asked to sit in on the interview process and had a say in who I thought should be hired. I like to train new people but sometimes my other work doesn't get done so much and deadlines aren't meant. But so far the new girl is working out good. But I miss our previous girl in that position too though. It's amazing that I have kept in touch with almost everyone that has either moved to a different position, left the company or had been let go.

Hanging out with Friends

Andy and I have been hanging out with Mike and Allison almost every other week. We usually go over to their house and eat dinner and sit around the bonfire. They live in a small town called Verona , just about 10 minutes away from us. They also have a dog that we like to play with too. We are going to try to alternate on who turn it is to host dinner, but it hasn't worked so well yet. We always end up over there. We always have a good time no matter what though.

I have a new favorite website. Allmyfaves.com This website has everything on it. It's like a major search engine for anything and everything. I think I spent at least an hour just looking at things. There were sites I had never even thought of. There was one where you could play Mario brothers.. I used to love that game and play it all the time when I was a kid.Anyways though, go check it out and look at all the cool things it has to offer.

Our 1st Wedding Anniversary!

Time flies by when your having fun!!! May 17th was our first anniversary. I couldn't believe it... We did a lot of things different at our wedding. Like not kiss at the alter, not throw the guarder or bouquet. And then we didn't even eat our topper on our anniversary.. Talk about different. I guess we are just really laid back and really don't care about all the traditional things. Anyways though we went out to dinner with some of our friends that were in our wedding and had a great time.

I purchased a card for Andy for our anniversary and I didn't even get one in return...I gave Andy a bunch of grief for not getting a card. But then on Thursday night I came home and found a card laying on the table with, To my Wife.... I opened the card and there was a little note written on the back. It said, " If you can find your birthday present you can have it." I thought to myself it's not July yet. I spent a good 45 minutes tearing the place apart looking for something. I didn't even know what I had asked for besides a WI Fit.. ( Don't think I will be getting that )

The next day I came home and it was Friday. I said to Andy, " Did you really get me something already?" Yes he said... We have been in to going to the golf range to hitting balls lately and I said you want to go hit a bucket of balls tonight. He said nope not till you find your gift.. So we kind of played the Hot or Cold game... I finally found my gift and it was tucked away . Did not look there the day before. The place he had hidden it I couldn't get open. I'm a weakling... LOL... Anyways though it was a Gift Certificate for Golf Lessons. I was really excited because I just got a new set of Golf Clubs for Christmas. So I"m totally excited about scheduling my lessons and learning how to golf properly.

A few weeks ago I had the afternoon off and Andy did too. We decided to take Kris to the mini golf course and the zoo.. That was the first time I had been to the zoo here in Madison.It's a cute little zoo. There are seals, penguins, tigers, monkeys, giraffes and many other animals. It was kind of cold out that day and we didn't stay out to late since Kris wasn't feeling all that great.. But here are a few pictures from the outing..

I find myself rushing around at work and not having enough time during the day to complete everything. Do I speak up and say something to my managers and tell them that there has to be overtime? Do I not speak up and not do a good job? I know money is tight in the world but if we can't do our job correctly then we could loose even more money.

It's Monday

It's Monday night and Dancing With the Stars was on. I love that show. It makes me think about all the dance performance I've done in the past when I was a kid. There are days when I wish I could go back and take tap,jazz, ballet and hip hop all over again. I know I can, but do I really have the time too? NO!!!

There hasn't bee a whole lot going on this week. Had a great weekend. I hung out with the in-laws on Saturday night and order Pizza. Then Andy's nephew came over and I played with him for awhile. He's getting to be so big and has a wide range of vocabulary. Afterwards I came home and cleaned out our oven . It was kind of scary sticking my head in the oven with the door open. But it's nice and clean now.

This week is going to be pretty hectic. One of my co-workers is leaving and moving back to Illinois to be with family. So that means we have a new person starting and I get to train him. That's OK I will just be stressed. I have learned that working where I do, I become very stressed. So much to do and not enough time.I told Andy that you may not want to talk to me at all this week because I will be so tired by the time I get home. But I tell you what, I"m looking forward to May when I can get away and go to Florida and spend some time in the sun and on the golf course.

Well I have finished my day with a nice workout on the treadmill and now I'm off to bed.

I'm very confused what time of season it is. Last week is was nice and warm out and today it's snowing. I wish weather would make up it's mind. I'm ready for the spring air and all the pretty flowers blooming. One of my co-workers received roses from his wife because she away in IRAQ, and I couldn't help smelling the pretty roses and thinking of Spring. This spring I hope to purchase some flowers and plant them on the patio.I"m really into daisy's right now and sunflowers.Keep your fingers crossed that spring will be here soon and that winter will be gone.

You never realize how fast time goes by. It's been sometime since I have written on my blog so I thought I better post something or else my mom won't know what I've been doing.. LOL ! Just kidding.. Here's a few updates!

This past month has been pretty busy with work . One of my co-workers put in her notice and I"m very sad to see her leave us. She's been an awesome person to work with and it's going to be hard to train someone else to fill her shoes. Granted she's not leaving till April but still.Were going to miss her. She better come back and visit though!

This last month at work every Friday all the girls and I would bring something in to show n tell. There was some great things. One person brought in old pictures of all the baby blankets she's made. Most of the time it was pictures. This past Friday I brought in a book called ," The Sunita Experiment". It's about a girl who comes over from India and trying to figure out the two different worlds. Anyways though it was a book I think my mom or grandma purchased for me since it had my name on it. Nothing ever has my name on it.

This month I volunteer to make everyone a little cookbook with all the scrapbooking materials I have. Doesn't cost me a thing and it's something to work on instead of sitting in front of the TV on the night's Andy works. All that I asked of the girls were to bring the recipes in. I did themed weeks so we would get a variety of different things. The first week is a recipe requested by family and friends. What does everyone ask me to make? MMM Green Bean Casserole or Taco Dip!

GREAT NEWS ! My older brother and his wife just got back from Ethiopia. They adopted a beautiful little girl . Her name is Selah. My new niece!!! I"m very excited to have another niece! I can't wait to meet her!!!

My husband was thoughtful enough to go and purchase Illinois vs. Wisconsin basketball tickets for this week. I think Illinois is going to win, but we will see! Anyone want to place a bet on that game?

No big plans for the weekend! I can't believe it's almost Wednesday!!! Time flies!!!

My 2009 Goals!

Andy tends to read my blog everyday and today while he was at work I posted the first one of the year having to do with goals. So when he read it tonight , he came out and asked me with a smile on his face what are your goals so I can help you accomplish them. I laughed when he said that of course. So then I started to think about it and this is what I have come up with. My husband is waiting patiently to find out what they are.

1. Start to work out more! We have a really nice treadmill and it has all these cool workouts on it. And for Christmas we got a new tv to put in the workout room. So in the long run I think the treadmill will be used more. During the summer when it's nice out , I would like to bike more and even get my husband to bike with me.

2. I'm going to drink more water and eat healthier.

3. A goal for my husband and I is to save more money. Cut down on debt.

4. I want to learn how to play golf and maybe even beat my husband at it.. Just kidding. There isn't anyway that I will be able to do that.

5. I"m going to try to expand my cooking skills. I"m going to pick one new recipe and try to make it. Whether it will turn out good that's another story. Andy does most of the cooking and he's a wonderful cook. He gets it from his mom. Me on the other hand, I can do some things but not as good as him.

6. I want to start reading books again. When I was a child I used to read all the time but then as I got older , I was interested in other things.

7. I would also like to scrapbook more and spend more time organizing all my pictures . I would also like to create a wedding photo album .

So there are some of my goals. I may accomplish them I may not. Now ask my husband what his goals are.

I'm sitting on the couch at 12:18 in the morning and I'm all curled up with a blanket and playing games on the laptop because I can't sleep.. But luckily I have Maggie our cat laying on the couch with me to keep my feet warm and keep my company. Bailey will come and rubbed up against me every once in awhile to but Maggie is a couch hog. Sorry Bailey

I'm sure I will pay for it in the morning when I don't want to wake up. However I have always been one to stay up late and able to get up right away in the morning. (((((yawn))))

As I'm sitting on our couch at 12:30 , our upstairs neighbor decides to vacuum something up or blend something.. She has a parrot that makes tons of noise too. Who is cleaning or cooking at this time in the morning. And I don't think she works in the medical field, so she's not a doctor or anything like that. Very interesting neighbors we have.

The one across the hall from us, I worry about her too. She has breast cancer and there are some weeks I never see her or hear out of her.Our landlord and I are kind of afraid to ask if she needs anything because were unsure how she will react. She doesn't have any family really and I feel bad and she knows I'm here if she needs me. I guess that's all I can do though.

Well I think I'm going to try to go bed now. I may be back though. Goodnight!!!

It's Snowing and I have a cold!

Have I told you how much I dislike driving in snow? Today and tonight and into the night it will be snowing. That means when I wake up in the morning the drive to work will not be fun. I don't care if it's on the grass and trees, I just don't like it on the streets. To many people get in car accidents and stuck. I also have a cold that won't go away. All the sniffles and Kleenex..I hope that once I fall asleep tonight that I will wake up and it will be gone. I doubt it though. What's is the best thing for a cold?

Can you believe it, I'm actually on blogger tonight. Last night my cousin Brandon came to stay with us while he was taking his Patent Agent Exam for law school. It was fun having company staying over. Today I woke up pretty sore from decorating all day yesterday at work.

I had the place to myself today because Andy had to work. So I ventured out and went shopping for awhile. I went to and bought a few presents for Andy's nephew. I'm not used to shopping for little boys since there are none on our side. But it was fun... Then I came home and decorated some more and watched Christmas movies on television. Tonight I'm just hanging out around the house. Andy is going to the Wisconsin Badger hockey game.. GO BADGERS! I need to go work on my scrap booking but I'm being a very bad girl and not doing it.Will post pictures later of the Tree...

What a great Husband!

I'm so lucky to have a great husband like Andy! He knew how much I wanted a Christmas tree this year and we finally went out and purchased one. I know our place isn't big enough but it looks so pretty in the corner with the lights and decorations on it. I haven't had a Christmas tree in my home since I was a little kid. I think our family got rid of the Christmas tree when I was in middle school maybe... So now I can finally say I have a Christmas tree again. I know Andy thought the cats would pull it over and mess with it, but they really haven't yet. They have found that the tree skirt makes a nice bed though. We will see what happens in the middle of the night. Anyways though hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving!!!

Bad Sunita

I know I haven't been writing on my blog lately. I will try to get some stuff posted here soon. Yesterday was the first day is snowed here in Madison Wisconsin and it actually stuck to the ground. We had about 2 inches of snow I guess they said. I really don't like driving in this weather but what can you do... It's been crazy busy at home and work with tons of things to do. Last weekend I went to Chicago and saw downtown and went shopping all day. That was so much fun! I also got to see Lauren and Salvo which I was really excited about. Didn't buy anything really because everything is so expensive. Did you know the tax in Chicago is 10.25%? CRAXZYYYYYY No wonder no one buys anything there. Well I need to run for now but I thought I would post something really quickly... More news to follow!

The Pumpkin Patch

A few weeks ago Andy's parents took Kris to the pumpkin patch and Andy and I tagged along. We went through the petting farm and on a hay ride!! The hay ride took us out to the pumpkin patch and we picked out about 5-6 pumpkins. Andy and I have two sitting on our porch but we haven't carved them or anything. I doubt that we will. I have never been a big Halloween fan... But I do like the smell of pumpkin pie, so maybe I will figure out something to make with them.

I thought I better post something since I haven't in awhile. Work has been crazy lately and have had a lot going on. So I have officially started Christmas Shopping and I'm somewhat done... I know your thinking what? Are you crazy? Well I figure my family really isn't doing a whole lot since we all live far away from each other. So I did get all three nieces something.. I got something small for my mom , my brother and sister-in law and my sisters.... Nothing big though!!! Then I'm making my famous calendar for grandpa ... So over all, it's almost done....I know you can't believe it right!!!

Labor Day Weekend - The Hollywood

Saturday night Brandon, Brittany, Cody, Steven, Trish, Andy and I all went to the Hollywood. It's this little bar/grill in Robinson IL. We all went there and hung out and had a cocktail or two. You always see some interesting people there. Some with no teeth, some that can't walk because they are to drunk, some that smell and some that , well you just don't know what to expect. But we all hung out and had fun.

Labor Day Weekend- WALMART

Our family enjoys spending time together but we spend even more time at the near by Walmart. I know it sounds crazy but it really isn't. There have been time we have made 7 trips to Walmart in one day. But they good news is now it's a super Walmart even better and it's 24 hours.. You can spend even more time there. Everyone always finds something they don't need but ends up buying. And one last tid bit, the prices are cheaper there because it's in Southern IL..

Labor Day Weekend- The Bliss Family

Saturday evening we all packed up our cars and headed over to Marsha and Marion's house out in the country. They live in a town called Oblong about 30 minutes away from my grandpa. We had decided to do our big family dinner on Saturday night instead of Sunday night which was a great idea I think. A lot more time to socialize and hang out with family and catch up. Out on their property they have tons of dirt roads and fields to go play in. Not only was the food a high light but the toys that we had to play with were also a high light. My cousin Clarence brought down his 4 Wheeler and my other cousin had two more. They were a big hit this year. Everyone took them out riding and racing. We also had bad mitten, bags, golf, and lots of hanging out to do too.

We also had a lot of family missing this year that couldn't make it. Wish we were all sad about. They will hopefully be there at Christmas though. Pictures soon to come...

Labor Day Weekend- Moonshiners

I"m back from a wonderful weekend with the family!!! Andy and I took off on Friday morning and drove to Champaign and spent the evening and then woke up on Saturday morning just in time to go to Moonshines.. Your asking what the heck is Moonshiners ...... Moonshiners is a little old place that has been there for some odd years and they sell a one of a kind hamburger I guess you could say.My family thought it would be fun to go try them out. So we all met in the town of Casey and stood in line for hamburgers and cheeseburgers. That's all they sell too, besides pop and chips. Tons of bugs all around, and you smelt like smoke from the cooking grill. Over all the burger was decent but nothing to fancy... You will have to check them out next time your in Casey Illinois. I will post pictures soon.

This fall I'm joining a bowling league. One of Andy's mom's friends asked me to join their team. It will be every other Wednesday night if not a few more. I haven't bowled in almost 2 years so this week I went to practice a little before the season starts. I didn't do to shabby but could do better. I think my high score for the night was 149.

Fall is Approaching

I'm starting to get very excited about the fall weather that's coming. Last night I was so cold hanging out in the house that I had to get a sweatshirt out. I love sweatshirt weather. Which also means it's getting closer to football season and all the new shows that are coming out on television. You will find me tuned in on Thursday night's watching Grey's and Private Practice... But I will also be sad to see some of the summer shows leave such as Big Brother.

Scrapbooking

So this week I went through all my scrap booking supplies and passed some of it off to a friend of mine at work. Supplies that I"m never going to use anymore. I started going through everything also because it's time to start making my yearly calendar. I always try to come up with ideas that are going to top last years calendar but I can't always do it. This year I'm going to try to incorporate everyone birthday on to the calendar so grandpa doesn't have to write them all in. So we will see how that works out. If you have any good ideas to incorporate let me know.

Labor Day

Labor Day is approaching and I"m getting excited about going home to see family. I don't get to travel home so much anymore. I also get to see my grandpa who I love very much and the extended family. Every year we all head down to my grandpa's house and have family fun at the rodeo, our cousin house, the park, the farm and much more. Can't wait to see everyone...

Fried Zucchini

When I was a child I always looked forward to going to grandma and grandpa's house . One thing my grandma cooked for me all time was Fried Zucchini. So last night I decided to make some . Andy had to laugh at me for a little while because he didn't think I knew what I was doing. They tasted just like grandma's but I think next time were going to add some spices or such to give them more flavor. It made me think of a lot of great memories I had with my grandma... I miss her very much...

You have a grandpa who is like 73 year old, a hooters girl, a bull rider, and some other random people. Everyone is already teaming up with alliance's though.. Golf

So awhile back I posted an entry about getting some golf clubs, hasn't happen yet. I really want to learn how to play someday but maybe just not yet. Maybe for Christmas Andy will get me a nice set of golf clubs but we will see. Christmas it's not to far ... I did find someone who was willing to go take golf lessons with me though. So maybe that could be a project for next summer for us. We will have to see...

Art Fair on the Square

Every year Madison Wisconsin has an Art Fair and it's held downtown on the square. Andy and I went down to stroll around and look at expensive art. All different vendors from across the state come and share their talent. While we were down town at the capital we had the chance to go inside the state capital and go up to the observation deck. I have done word searches to surfing the Internet. There is some filing that could be done but at the same time , if I do it all today I won't have it for next week. I"m amazed at how many shows this summer are actually decent. I've been watching America Got Talent, Hopkins, The Baby Borrowers,and soon will be watching Big Brother. There is some really good talents in the states this year on America's Got Talent. I would love to try out for the show but I think I would be to chicken.. The Baby Borrowers is just not right. They say it's a form of birth control for kids. And I would have to say it's working maybe... Has anyone seen any of these shows yet?

Golf Lessons!!!!!

I have started to enjoy golf and watching golf more and more. When we out for dinner on my birthday Allison was talking about golf and I didn't understand all the different clubs, irons, wedges, and driver. So I was talking with Andy and I said I really want to go and get a book on golf so I can understand it, and he said you need golf clubs first. So this Sunday he's going to take me to Dick's Sporting Goods and were going to look at golf clubs for me.. I'm really kind of excited that way I can go play some golf with him. I won't be as good as him but oh well. Maybe I will go sign up for golf lessons...

Chicken Soup for the Soul Couples

I just recently bought a new book to read. I went to Barnes and Noble and spend an hour and half in the store just looking at books. There is anything and everything that you could possibly want. I wanted something about couples and yet romantic. So I was looking for a good book that had both of those things in it... I came across a lot of different one's and I bought Chicken Soup for the Soul Couples version. If you don't know anything about these books they talk about love, sex, communication, trust, family, and other topics but they are all inspirational stories... So I started to read this book and the first story I read was a really cute idea. Create a flower day with your husband and every month on that day you give flowers to your wife no matter what. So the story I was reading, her husband has passed away but one of his wishes was that their neighbor carry on the tradition for him . Give his wife flowers still... It was a really cute idea and it doesn't have to be flowers it could be something else. Create a special day with your spouse.

Happy 4th of July!!!! Andy and I celebrated the 4th of July here in Madison. His family has a big cookout and there fire works right down the street from where they live. It's always nice to see family and friends and play games and eat tons of food. I have tons of pictures to post but can't right now. So I will be posting them later. Well I had my 26th birthday... Nothing really changed though, just another number. Andy bought me my first card that has the word WIFE on it.. To my wonderful wife I think it said... LOL !! It's still funny hearing the words wife and husband. My wife, my husband..... Anyways though Andy and I and some friends of our went out to dinner. We went to Joey's seafood... YUMMY!!!! I share my birthday with my brother Todd and I called him to wish him a Happy Birthday too. It's pretty cool to share that special day together. He's older than I am though. Then my older sisters birthday is coming up too in July... Lots of family birthdays in July.

The Kung Fo Panda

Saturday Andy's parents and I took Kris to see the Kung Fo Panda Movie at the IMAX. I have never been to the Imax theater. Pretty cool place. It was definitely a cute movie but not one I would buy when it comes out. But it was something fun and different to do on a Saturday night. Andy had to work that night so it got me out of the house too. You all should take your kids to it.

It feels as if just yesterday we were starting to plan our wedding. But that's not the case anymore. We have 6 days till the big day. Can you believe it.... I would say we are all set and just looking for a perfect day. Though I hear we are going to have a 40% showers on Saturday. So please cross your fingers and hope it doesn't rain. I"m really looking forward to seeing all of the family. My older sister Shelby is coming and I haven't seen her and my niece for almost 2 years I think it is. Crazy I know... Someday I think she's going to move back home. Anyways though I hope to get some good pics of the family. I'm already thinking about Christmas this year and how many pictures I will have to put in the famous scrapbook calendar. I may have to make two.. Well off to shop for last minute things for next weekend... Can't wait to see all of you..

Marriage

Yesterday Andy came and picked me up for lunch and we went to the state clerks office to apply for our marriage license. It's expensive to get just a piece of paper that states your married. Why is it that some states are cheaper then others? Everything went good. Later on after dinner we met with the Pastor Billings. The last time we met with him, he gave me a weird vibe. This time not so much. He was nicer and a little more talkative. Though he tended to put us on the spot on some of the questions. We had to take this couples personality test the first time we met him and so we reviewed our scores. Not to shabby. But then again we don't know what it's based off . Anyways though it was a good meeting . The rehearsal is set and so is the wedding... Only 22 days left till the big day...

My Hair for the Wedding

Last night I went and had my hair done as a trial for the wedding. That was a lot of fun too, it's fun having everyone stare at you and wonder why their having their hair done. I do recommend that when you get married or you are going to a big fancy event that you kind of know what you want them to do. I took a few pictures with me of what I wanted and he came up with something really cute and elegant I would have to say. I can post all the pictures because I know that Andy reads my blog and I would like it to be a surprise of what I look like on my special day. So everyone will have to wait to see the final .

I sometimes wonder why cats will cuddle with one person but not the other... What are they thinking mmmm..... Bailey always cuddles with Andy and Maggie always tends to cuddle up with me. I always say that Bailey is a daddy's girl and Maggie is becoming a daddy's girl... I said to Andy that we need to get another cat so that they cuddle with me. Nah just kidding.. Maggie always cuddles up on my feet in the middle of the night to keep me warm. And they both are my alarm clock when it's time to get up. Cats... They are funny animals....

Makeup for the Wedding

So I was trying to find a place to have my makeup done. And I was walking through Boston's one day and I noticed they have a Clinique Counter. I stopped and asked if they do pre-trials for makeup? is it free? And they said yes, the only thing we ask in return is you purchase something. So I didn't think that was such a bad idea. So on Monday night I went out and had my makeup done. I took Allison with me and she was my second opinion on everything. It was a really fun experience . The girl who did my makeup did a really great job too. Looked all natural .. Can't wait for everyone to see the finished results in a few weeks.

Our weekend was great! It was nice and sunny out and you couldn't have asked for better weather. Saturday morning I slept in a little bit, but I never sleep in to late. Andy has to work on Saturday mornings so I normally hear him get up and leave. Anyways though earlier in the week I had talked to Allison, and we had talked about going shopping at Johnson Creek. So we went to Noodles for lunch and then shopping for the day. I didn't buy a whole lot really . I found a cute little hand bag at the gap that was like 2 bucks and a pair of pants for work. It was fun though to just walk around the outlet stores. Sunday Andy had to work again and I went to the mall with his mom and went shopping again. She was looking for spring clothes and I didn't really find anything either. Anyways though it was a great weekend and had fun with the ladies. This coming weekend I'm going home to Champaign to see my family. I haven't seen them in awhile. That will be another great weekend.

Spring is in the Air

This morning I woke up and I normally go straight to the computer to find out what the weather is going to be. I looked and it said it was going to be in the 50's and then later this week it is going to be in the 60's almost. I couldn't believe it. We have had all this snow and I never thought I would see spring! That means the wedding is coming closer too. Anyways though the flowers are ready to bloom and I saw that our neighbor had planted some sunflowers in a flower pot and they have already bloomed. They are so pretty. I think I get my green thumb from my grandma. I tend to plant a flowers every year or at least some. This year though I may not have time due to the wedding. We will see though.

So I thought I should change the title of my blog. I"m no longer coming to Madison. I have lived here for about 2 1/2 years now. I'm in Madison for good unless we decide to move again. I wouldn't be opposed to the option of moving back to Champaign, but who knows. Andy knows that I would like to move back there and be closer to family. But I do like it here in Madison too.So anyways I changed the title to My Day in Madison Wisconsin.

Bridal Shower

I had a bridal shower this weekend and it was a lot of fun to see everyone and open up tons of presents. I wish that more of my side was able to come but traveling wise , they weren't able too. And that's totally fine, they will all be at the wedding. And that day is going to be very special! Andy and I got tons of good gifts. We got our dishes, pillows, comforter, sheets, towels, picture frames, candles, scrapbook, grill, baking set, and money. After the bridal shower Andy and I and two of our friends all went out for dinner and to watch the Wisconsin Hockey game. That was a lot of fun too. We had a good weekend. Now I get to add more gifts to the registry because we took a lot of the stuff off that people have already gotten for us.

The wedding is approaching fast! We are definitely getting excited about the big day! Less then two months , I can't believe how fast it went. Plans are going well, everything is pretty much all done. The girls all have their dresses, the guys have been fitted for the tuxes. All the wedding favors are almost done. Still need to get some candles for the wedding centerpieces, but other than that it's all ready. Can't wait till the big day!!!! Now we get the RSVP cards back too so we get to find out whose all coming....

Television Shows I"m into this season !

There are a few television shows that I"m into watching this spring!

1. Big Brother 9 : This show started out as a couples game and now they have broke off to being single players. It's mainly a reality game / strategy show... Every week someone gets voted off!

2. Dancing with the Stars: This season has a interesting cast on it.There is one star name Marlee Marlen I think her name is, and she's deaf and can't hear the music. But she did a wonderful job the first night of the show.

3. American Idol : I have been watching this show since the beginning of it's season. There are some really great singers on it this season. David Cook, Brooke White, Carly and a few others. Tune in if you can.

4. The Bachelor: This season is the first time they have had a Britain on . And he's choosing one of us American women.

5. The Apprentice Celebrity: This is another reality game show but they are all playing for Charity's. I really hope that Trace Adkins wins.... Next week is the finally!

6. Here Come the Newlyweds: This show can be pretty funny! Andy and I have been watching this show on Sundays nights together. They ask a lot of questions to the other spouse.. Some interesting ones...And then I turn to Andy and ask him! He just laughs!

You would think I watch a lot of television, but really I don't... I tape all these shows and generally watch them on the weekends or right when I get home for work. So no couch potato here.

March Madness

It's that time again where there is nothing else on television but basketball and golf! I don't mind watching it so much but when you have to watch it all the time, it gets to be boring. Unfortunately Illinois didn't make it into the tournament but Wisconsin did. So far they are doing good. But they have a game this afternoon. We will see if they can pull off another win! Then there is golf, that can be pretty boring to watch too but sometimes it's fun to watch Tiger Woods golf... He's like number one right now in the country. At least to me he is! Anyways though I can't wait till there is some real television on again.

Snow

Here in Madison is snows a lot! Yesterday the forecast was calling for about 8-13 inches of snow in the Madison Area. I couldn't believe it and they say it was spring time. Anyways though it was nice and sunny outside the day before and it was like 45 degrees out and then it had to snow. I was lucky though because the roads weren't as bad as I thought they were going to be. They were pretty clean and I didn't get stuck going home. The only downfall was I had to work till 6 last night. But it's overtime....

I'm leaving on a jet plane, don't know when I will be back again.... Well actually Andy and I are flying to New Mexico in the morning. Andy has his once a year USBC Bowling . I have never been to New Mexico before. It's amazing the places I have gone with Andy since we have known each other. Baton Rouge, Corpus Christie, Reno, and now New Mexico.... Next year we are going to Las Vegas and then in 2010 we head to Orlando.... We leave tomorrow and come back on Monday.. It was a little over a year ago this weekend that Andy had proposed to me... And now were less then 3 months away from the wedding. Getting very excited about it though...

So yesterday Andy and I went and met with the caters for the wedding and it's amazing the amount of money you spend... China, and glasses, and labor for the servers, and money for the bar tender, and so on... Makes you think about, why didn't we just elope and have a fun party or cookout or something. But I guess in the long run you only do this once so it's worth it...

Wedding News

Well Andy and I went and met with the Church and the pastor who is going to marry us. When we first walked in, I got the wrong impression right off the bat. Didn't ask my name or anything and he really didn't introduce himself either. While we were there and things he was talking about different things and I asked does it have to be a father that walks you down ,because I'm having my grandpa walk me down. And I mentioned that my parents are divorce and I don't get along with my father. Then he proceeded to talk about divorce rate. Then I noticed that he was one to talk when he didn't have a wedding ring on. Who knows... Anyways though we were to take a counseling class and the pastor said it was to late, so he had us take this personality test. It was one of those fill in the bubble ACT test. Andy and I had to sit a opposite ends of the table, couldn't talk or look at other while taking it. This test was 165 questions long. When we were done, we took it back to the pastor and he said that he was going to send it to the University of Minnesota and once he got our scores back that he would call us. So I'm thinking to myself, what are these scores going to tell, if they aren't accurate or up to his likings, is he not going to marry us... Maybe I was reading way to much into it, but still kind of weird I thought. And to top it off, he didn't know the date we requested or the time or any of that either. Very unorganized if you ask me... Just a little venting ....

It's Friday and it's time to party! Not really though. Don't have a lot planned , though I'm working on some wedding things. I can't believe how soon it's coming up. This Sunday is SuperBowl Sunday, I wonder who is going to win?My guess is the Patriots but we will see.. Don't know that I will watch it but if there isn't anything else good on then I will . Speaking of television I'm really in to the American Idol and Celebrity Apprentice this season. There are a lot of good singers on but then there are some that just shouldn't be on there. And Celebrity Apprentice, very interesting season so far. I will keep you all posted.

My Wedding Dress

Last night I called David's Bridal to see if I could come in any earlier to have my last dress fitting and she told me that it was actually done and if I wanted to , I could come in tonight.. So last night I went to Davids and tried my dress on for one last time before the wedding. I also wore my wedding jewlery just to see what it would look like. I have to say it looks really nice. Allison was also there, she's on my bridesmaid. She's been a good person to ask for advice on wedding things since she's already married. While she was there, she was also able to pick up her dress . They really turned out cute and the shoes are cute too. I can't wait to see all the girls in them. It's getting closer to time...

Andy and I finished up all of our registry lists. We have registered at Target, Bed Bath and Beyond, and Linen and Things. All these places have a great selction of things so it was kind of hard to choose. Andy would do all the scanning the bar codes in. Sometimes he would wander off and put something on the list that I didn't know about. I later then found out. But I said he could leave it on there. Let me know if you can figure out what it is. It's seems that I have been at the dentist a lot lately. To top it off I had work done this morning and my whole right side of my cheek went numb. I had work done on my teeth at 7:40 and here it's 4:30 and it still hurts. I really dislike going to the dentist but I guess I have to. Wedding Ring

On Friday the 18th , Andy and I decided to go to TQ Diamonds, this is where he purchased my wedding ring at. However my ring doesn't have a band that matches so we went in and looked at our options. Andy found the ring he wants and me, I have an idea. We are going to custom make my ring to match my wedding ring. I have to take it this week and they are going to keep it for 3-4 days . So I'm getting excited about getting our wedding bands done too. It's the price that's not going to be fun to pay.

This past weekend I had some fun. I didn't have to work last Saturday so I went shopping... Andy had a bowling tournament that day and so his mom and I went shopping for wedding shoes for her dress. We weren't able to find any but we did find jewelry for her to wear. It's very pretty I might add. We continued to shop all over town for shoes but we didn't find anything. Maybe towards spring time she will find some. Anyways though I happen to be in some store and bought my bridesmaids gifts. Though I can't tell anyone what it is, It has to be a surprise.. Saturday morning I woke up and met my mom and john at the hotel. They were finishing eating breakfast and we were just chatting. Nor did I know that it was to snow that day. I think my mom hates the snow after being here in Madison. It just keeps snowing and snowing. Over 45 inches this winter so far. Anyways me and my mom and Andy's mom all went to Davids Bridal. I had to wait awhile before I could go have my fitting so Carrie and my mom went and looked at Mother of bride/groom dresses. Turns out they both found one that they really liked and they both look good in them. So it was time for me to go put my dress on for the fitting. I still fit which was a good thing. They are going to have it altered and cleaned for me by Feb. I was impressed how fast I would get it back. Then it was time to see mom and John leave. They had to get back for my grandpa's birthday. But they will be back soon enough.

I haven't been a good girl lately when it comes to updating my blog so here are a few new things going on. Mom and John came up on Friday the 11Th to visit Andy and I. Mainly because I wanted mom to come with me as I went to try my wedding dress on. Anyways though Friday night we went to Joey's seafood restaurant and it was good, but it took them awhile to seat us. But we got 2 free appetizers out of it. Then we went back to parktowne and had a drink and then home. I had a big day on Saturday. It was a lot of fun having them come and visit.

Healthy Teeth

Nothing like going to the dentist to have your teeth cleaned. I really don't care for the dentist but I know have to go. So I went in and they said I get a smiley face for having great teeth . I was really thrilled with that... But now I have two more appointments because they want to take out some old fillings that I have had since I was a kid and replaced them with new ones. Rather have healthy teeth then not.

Wisconsin vs. Illinois

Last night Andy and I had tickets to the Wisconsin vs. Illinois basketball game. One of my co-workers had tickets that he wasn't going to be using. So we went and watched the game. It was a pretty good game. Illinois struggled a little but the played hard. It was kind of cool seeing Michael Jordan's son sitting there. He is going to play the Illini sometime. Anyways though the game ended up being like 70-60 or so. Maybe the next time they will win.

Clean Clothes and Towels

Wednesday night Andy and I went to the grocery store to do our weekly shopping. Though it last more then a week . It's amazing how much money you spend on food. I don't see how family with 6-7 kids could spend all that money. Never will I have 6 or 7 kids... Our two cats are already expensive. Anyways though so after we got home I did a load of laundry and it was all the towels. Andy always makes fun of me when I do laundry because I always end up doing something the wrong way. For instance, putting to much in at one time or when I'm putting them in the dryer , putting to many dryer sheets in. So I told him from now on you can do the laundry. You should see what happens when I wash the clothes and hang those up. They have to be in order. It's very funny ... So from now on, if there is laundry I will either do it when he's not at home or he can... LOL

I"m so excited this weekend my mom is coming. I haven't seen her since September. I had the chance to go home during Christmas but with the weather here it wasn't safe to drive. They are coming up Friday night and were all going out to dinner. I think I'm going to take them to a little place called Joey's. It's a seafood ! Saturday were all waking up and going to David's Bridal for my first dress fitting. I hope I still fit in it! I think I will be fine, but from now till the wedding I will have to watch what I eat. I'm starting to get more and more excited about the wedding! Not to much longer! Can't wait to see you this weekend MOM! Love you!
